Schuyler Scott Mastain After graduating from the UNC Chapel Hill MFA in Acting program in 2017, Schuyler returned to LA to act, write, and direct. Since then, he produced two of his original plays for the Hollywood Fringe Festival: The Sower (2018) for which he won an Encore Award in his portrayal of Vincent Van Gogh, and Bushwick (2019) which he also directed. In addition to his role as member of the Open Fist Theatre Company, Schuyler is rehearsing Handsome Man, a self-written solo piece about his time living and working as an international school teacher in Bangkok, Thailand to premier at the 2020 Hollywood Fringe Festival. Under the pseudonym Scoot MacGruder, Schuyler also hosts “The Man-Kind Podcast”, an arena where men and women can safely explore healthy masculinity. For more info:
